April Pish has sat in the chair her clients are sitting in now. She was CEO of Update, Inc., a legal staffing and managed review company, when it was acquired by Driven, Inc. in 2018. She stayed on to run the business under new ownership and later served as Co-President of Innovative Driven, giving her firsthand experience with the part of a transaction most sellers never get told about: what happens after the wire hits. She knows what it feels like to sign, and she knows how much of a deal’s real value is made or lost after closing.

That perspective shapes how she leads at Merge. April oversees operations across the firm, bringing an experienced operator’s lens to how Merge works and how it can continue to evolve. She knows that strong execution matters just as much as strategy, and that the details, timing, and communication throughout a transaction can influence the outcome. Her focus is on helping Merge scale thoughtfully while making sure the client experience remains at the center of it.

A lawyer by training and an operator by instinct, April brings more than two decades of executive leadership experience across legal services, workforce, and professional services businesses. She has led organizations through growth, transition, and change, giving her a practical understanding of what it takes to turn strategy into action.

April is known for asking the uncomfortable question early, getting into the details when the details matter, and bringing clarity to complex decisions. Behind every transaction is a business someone spent years building, and she never treats the numbers as the whole story.

Outside of work, April is an avid reader, a former Division I swimmer, and a marathon runner. She brings the same mindset to building teams that she does to business: high standards, real accountability, and people who genuinely like working together.
