Brad Bowers helps agency founders understand the true value of what they’ve built, guiding them through the sales process from initial consultation all the way to final close. As a member of Merge’s Finance and Diligence team, he brings more than five years of accounting and valuation experience to every transaction, giving founders the financial expertise and rigor they need to feel confident in their numbers and clarity as they move toward a close.

Brad was drawn to M&A for the chance to work in a dynamic industry while helping founders achieve the outcomes they’re truly after. He enjoys the process of getting under the hood of a business, understanding what drives its value, and translating that into a story buyers can believe in. One of the transactions he’s most proud of was an international deal for a publicly listed company, a unique and rewarding challenge that required navigating the complexity of international and public market regulations to deliver an outstanding outcome for the founder.

What excites Brad most about working at Merge is that every day brings something new. No two agencies are the same, and he finds it refreshing and rewarding to curate the materials and story for each one, learning the ins and outs of a different business almost every week. He’s guided by a simple value: listen more than you speak. Between buyers and sellers, he’s constantly learning from the unique insights and experiences of the people he’s lucky enough to meet along the way. Colleagues would describe Brad as purpose-driven, the kind of person who brings intention to everything he takes on.

Outside of work, Brad recently got married and bought a house with his wife, and between the two milestones, his free time these days is almost entirely consumed by home renovation projects. When he’s not knee-deep in a renovation, he and his family make maple syrup together every winter, a tradition he looks forward to all year. And in case that’s not unexpected enough, Brad was also a member of the Villanova cheerleading team for the 2018 National Championship basketball team.
